Water Treatment Plant Upgraded
The NSW Government funded a $10 million upgrade to Werris Creek's water supply, ensuring the community would have access to clean drinking water.
The funding gave Liverpool Plains Shire Council the opportunity to complete a series of works to secure water supplies for the region.
The funding went towards replacing the existing water treatment plant that was built in the 1930s and struggled to produce enough fresh water for the community.
The works included a new water treatment plant and storage tank in Werris Creek as well as a high level reservoir and raw water pump station from Quipolly Dam.
