UNE Tamworth
Tamworth will soon have a university campus with the University of New England committing to build their presence in the city.
The NSW Government have provided a $26.6 million grant to go towards the building of a new campus on the existing velodrome site.
Financial contributions have also been provided by UNE, Tamworth Regional Council and the Federal Government through the Job Ready Graduates program.
Building a university campus in Tamworth will have significant benefits for the city with more than $600 million of economic benefit over the next decade.
The course offerings at the campus are also designed to support existing local industries, ensuring our businesses have a pipeline of skilled workers that will allow them to grow.
