The Manilla Fishing Club and Hatchery have been supplying golden perch fry to lical dams and rivers for decades, ensuring that local fishers have the opportunity to wet a line and hook in to a native fish.

Unfortunately, the recent drought was devastating for local fish stocks and for the breeding program at the hatchery.

Government support was required to get fish back in our rivers and dams and that support came in the form of a $9,700 grant from the NSW Government's Recreational Fishing Trusts program. 

The fish have now been released back into our waterways which is great news for local fishers.
