The Dungowan Cowboys are an important team to communities around Dungowan, Woolomin and Nundle and the NSW Government has provided significant support through the years to keep their home ground in good condition.

A $10,000 grant in 2019 for ground improvements was followed by the completion of a $186,881 lighting upgrade in 2022.

The grounds are important to the local community, also hosting the local cricket team, a Village Fair and a Campdraft every January.
