LEADERS OF THE FUTURE ENCOURAGED TO COME TO MACQUARIE STREET
The next generation on community leaders are encouraged to apply to take part in the prestigious NSW Youth Parliament program.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said this is a great opportunity for young people to get a 'behind the scenes' look at the NSW Parliament.
"The NSW Parliament Youth Parliament program is a great opportunity for young people to get involved and advocate for change at a state level," Mr Anderson said.
"This is a program that has been running for more than 20 years and our region has a proud history of sending youth parliamentarians who have made a difference.
"With a focus on leadership and advocacy, the program enables high school students in years 10 to 12 to build confidence, develop leadership skills, engage with civic leadership, policy development, and democratic parliamentary debate.
"I look forward to welcoming another young local to the NSW Parliament to participate in what will be an outstanding week."
Nominating a Youth Parliament participant is a rewarding experience and a powerful way for you to engage with young people's ideas in your electorate and more broadly in NSW. You can write a letter of support for a young person in your electorate to include in their application.
