FUTURE OF AG ON DISPLAY IN TAMWORTH

Farmers, innovators, tech enthusiast, entrepreneurs, students, and researchers are forging the future of agriculture at today’s Farmers2Founders AGtivate series launch in Tamworth.

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson MP congratulated Farmers2Founders for bringing the event to Tamworth and looked forward to local farmers benefitting from a day of sharing ideas.

“Farmers2Founders recognise that our producers deserve to be at the centre of innovation, ensuring that farming practices are at the cutting edge of modern technology,” Mr Anderson said.

“By bringing an event like the Agtivate series to Tamworth, Farmers2Founder give local producers an opportunity to collaborate with the very best and brightest in ag innovation from across the nation and the world.

“Farmers in our region are constantly updating their practices, staying ahead of the curve, and ensuring they meet the challenges of today and of tomorrow.

“Today’s event allows our local farmers an opportunity to collaborate, innovate and influence the future of the agricultural sector.

“Agriculture faces a range of challenges moving into the future, including ongoing workforce shortages, biosecurity risks, climate variability, supply chain disruptions, costs, and sustainability.

“I’ve also been hearing from local farmers who have been preparing for the coming drought, modernising their practices to build resilience into their land.

“I have no doubt that today’s event will be a productive one for our farmers and I thank Farmers2Founders for choosing Tamworth for their first event.”

Todays Farmers2Founders event kicked off today at the Tamworth Agricultural Institute before moving to the Mercure Tamworth for an afternoon session.
