Nominations have now opened to recognise inspiring women who drive change and make outstanding contributions to the lives of residents living in regional and rural NSW.

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said the Regional Woman of the Year award was particularly important given it highlighted the important contribution regional women made to the health and prosperity of their communities.

"In the lead up to 2024 women's week and the 2024 NSW Woman of the Year awards, it's time for us to nominate women who make an outstanding contribution to our communities," Mr Anderson said.

"Women are the backbone of regional NSW and I can think of plenty of outstanding women who have improved the lives of people living in our communities through volunteering, through business and through outstanding achievements in the workplace.
