A TASTY $20,000 DELIVERY FOR GUNNEDAH’S MEALS ON WHEELS

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson announced $20,000 for important additions to Gunnedah’s Meals on Wheels Conadilly Street headquarters today.

Mr Anderson said the funds from the Community Building Partnership Program will deliver much-needed improvements for the organisation.

“This grant will fund the installation of a comprehensive refit of the office facilities at Meals on Wheels.

“There’ll be new overhead cabinets, filing cabinets, chairs, workstations, reception counter, meeting room tables, workstation, chair mats and stationary items.

“This funding will also ensure that a security system will be installed.

“This is fantastic news for an organisation that provides a vital service in the Gunnedah community.

“This grassroots funding will directly help the staff and volunteers provide a first class service to their clients in Gunnedah.

“I’m always trying to think of ways I can assist community groups right across the region and the Community Building Partnership Program has been a terrific way to provide funding for important work.

“I know that 15 community groups across the Electorate will be sharing $330,000 from the latest round of the Program and this will make an awesome contribution in towns across the region,” Mr Anderson concluded.

The Community Building Partnership program has funded some 13,800 community projects since it commenced nearly a decade ago.
